Tickets for the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament being played at the Greensboro Coliseum March 10 through March 14 are notoriously hard to come by.
But for Tuesday, March 10, the first day of the ACC Tournament, you don’t have to be a big donor to an ACC school in order to qualify for the privilege of purchasing tickets.
For the three games on Tuesday, March 10, tickets are available at the Coliseum Box Office or through TicketMaster for $48 for all three games.
The tickets are general admission, so if you don’t mind getting to the game early, you should be able to snatch up really good seats.
The first three games are between the six worst teams in the ACC, but this year two teams with quite a bit of local popularity will be playing – the Carolina Tar Heels and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
For those who have always wanted to see an ACC Tournament live and in person, Tuesday is a great opportunity.
For the remainder of the ACC Tournament, the tickets are divided up among the schools.
Of course, three games on the first day is assuming that it is a 15 team tournament, and right now nobody knows if that is going to be the case or not.
Georgia Tech was suspended from post season play by the NCAA, but the suspension is under appeal. It does make a tournament a little tricky to organize when the ACC doesn’t know how many teams will be playing,
ACC Deputy Commissioner Amy Yakola said, “We’re going forward with plans for 15. It’s something out of our control.”
Tickets are also available for the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament, which will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum from Wednesday, March 4 through Sunday, March 8.
