The Rhino Endorsements this year are a different than in past elections.
The major difference is that there is no accompanying article detailing the rationale behind the endorsements and there are no endorsements in the Democratic primary.
The plan was not to make endorsements in the primaries this year, but we have received so many communications from people requesting that we at least include a list of the candidates we were recommending that we decided to do just that.
In many races there are a number of quality candidates running and choosing one is a difficult task. However, when we go into vote, we only get to vote for one candidate in each race, so the candidate that we considered the best got the nod, even if it was a very close call.

We need no we have together Trump back in the white house we’re gone if Biden wins were all dead all of them need to go and the rings on republic size to
Can we get that in the King’s English?
Boomhauer is struggling to keep up.
Guess it’s time to cancel my link to Rhino after over 20 years.
Anyone who would endorse Mark Robinson over any living person is no longer fit to report
Anything passing for news.
Sorry to see you go but since you have imbibed the maga kool aid, no point in paying attention
Bob, you obviously know NOTHING about Mark Robinson! He’s another Trump, not a politician, but a fighter for us– the residents of the great state of North Carolina. Do yourself a favor and learn his history and his policies.
Agreed. Robinson is not fit for any office.
That is exactly what makes him the best choice! He is not a conformist nor the status quo. He has a spine.
RINO Times: Keep voting the same incumbents and just keep “hope alive” for different results. Virginia Foxx?? Mark Walker???? ROFLMAOPMP. NEVER!
John,
Are you in or are you out? You are starting to sound like a politician with comments like this:
“In many races there are a number of quality candidates running and choosing one is a difficult task. However, when we go into vote, we only get to vote for one candidate in each race, so the candidate that we considered the best got the nod, even if it was a very close call.”
I voice my opinion by saying: “I don’t have anything against him, I just don’t like him”. You know, I just don’t like the Duke Basketball Team!
Jim Donaldson
Alan Branson? I don’t think so unless you want someone who promises one thing and does another. Especially when his wife tells him what to do and it doesn’t go with what everyone else wants. He will go with her every time. The people in his district learned really quick how untrustworthy Alan is. He makes promises, his wife disagrees and Alan votes against the people in the end. Trust him all you want but y’all are gonna find out a hard truth just like the people of Julian did! We deserve someone who gives the people what they want, not what his wife wants. He wants to run for the House, he needs to listen to the people, not his wife. Sorry, not sorry. Alan simply can’t be trusted. I hope y’all don’t find out the hard way like the residents of Julian did. This is why he didn’t get re-elected to the county commissioners. We got fed up.
All the rest (that I know) are good decisions with the questionable behavior of Mark Walker. I don’t like that he said all the negative things about Trump but now he’s kissing Trump’s butt in order to get re-elected. Don’t disrespect the best President we’ve seen in years and expect people to vote for you.
No on Virginia Foxx..she has been there long enough. ABSOLUTELY NO!! ON CATHERINE TRUITT…SHE IS FOR CRT, delayed implementing Parent Right Bill, for sex indoctrination without parents concent..
Foxx is a SWAMP creature. She needs to retire and enjoy her ill gotten payola.
Thank you John, that’s a strong list!
Thank you. I am so very grateful for your endorsement. My NC House 62 team is working hard to preserve our values, protect our citizens, and provide opportunities for a brighter future for North Carolinians. Michelle B

Sorry Luv, you have no chance.
Ever heard of John Blust?
Good list except maybe mark walker, undecided on that one.
John
I was all in until I seen Alan Branson and Jon Hardisters name on the list. Branson voted for a special fire tax on the residents of Mcleansville that raised the property taxes now in his campaign text message he states he didn’t raise taxes. Hardister failed district 59 and a career politician with no labor experience is a poor choice to lead the labor department. He is only using this as a stepping stone for higher office in the future. He doesn’t deserve our vote North Carolina deserves better
Would you consider adding your endorsements for those running in Union County like NC 8th Congressional District, NC House 55 and 69, NC Senate 29, 35 (when applicable)?
Thank you, John K. Powell, Jr. Monroe, Union County, NC.
Seriously?? Trump and Robinson. Disappointing. – What happened to Rhino’s commitment, intent, to stand for morale integrity, honesty, character, democracy, semitism, and notable historic American values? Sad. Disappointed.
By your comment, it can be assumed that those running against Trump and Robinson are the opposite of the nouns and adjustives you list. Seriously??
Anyone that thinks Biden is too old should not be voting for 80 year old Virginia Foxx. It’s time for her to retire. And Mark Robinson is not qualified to be governor. If he wins (which I doubt), he will fall right on his face.
Biden’s age is not the issue. The issue is that by all visual signs, Biden is not mentally capable of being President. Actually, he was not mentally capable in 2020; but the Democrats were very clever and kept him hidden away, and then they cheated. When there is intent to cheat to win, the opposition is at a disadvantage. The cheater knows his intent and always has extra arrows in his quiver. One arrow is to fix the election laws before voting begins: early voting, mail-in ballots, absentee voting with no oversight, no ID required to vote. Republicans have never been as clever as Democrats. That’s a compliment.
Will definitely pass this list around to my family, friends and colleagues. Guess it’s time I unsubscribe! Rhino Times it’s been real well maybe NOT.
Thanks for compiling the list of who not to vote for this year. You made my life so much easier!
Since I retired to the coast, I haven’t been able to keep close attention to the chatter about local politics, and I don’t know if this has been chewed over by the guys; but the awful ad about Mark Robinson shook me to the core. I am an early supporter of his and the charge of anti-semitism made me cringe. But I took a screenshot of the whole text, and was able to see that the deliberately obfuscated portion of the offending quote was clearly about gun law history in Germany. And the clear intent was NOT to call out the Holocaust as false news.
Thanks for your comment. I agree with your assumption. They are! On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 good, 1 poor), the opponents you refer to are at least an 8 compared to Trump and Robinson’s 2, if that.
Based on your “name”, I agree on the need for term limits at many levels, federal and state.
Don’t forget local. Skip Alston and Deena Hayes are a disgrace. Without term limits, they will be re-elected again and again thanks to their constituents.
While I appreciate The Rhino posting a list of their endorsements – I would encourage everyone to do their own research. It’s pretty easy to find the positive and negative info out there on each candidate. You can weigh that out and make your own decision. I was surprised to find how much I disagreed with this years list of endorsements.
I agree with you. The Rhino’s decision to not list their reasoning for their endorsements leaves out the important info on all candidates’ positions on major issues. Knowing what the differences are and their background is an important part of deciding how you individually think about that person’s values and qualities as a potential representative for you in government.
I disagree with them on several choices this year, more than usual. Some because they’ve shown they are more interested in moving up the political chain, some because they haven’t done the job they said they’d do after several years in office, and some don’t align with my values. It’s important to know what you believe you’d do if you had the office. That’s why I know in some instances I’ll be writing in my name because there aren’t reasonable choices, which I don’t understand given the intelligent, knowledgeable, qualified people in this country (perhaps that’s why they choose not to run).

Keep thinking this way and out Republican leaders have and will sell us out to make Summefield the new North Greensboro. You old folk looking for the way it used to be, are in for a rude awakening when all these Phil Berger type Republicans take back/de annex your town, Increase your taxes and remove all your leaders . Im so excited for you, reap what you sow. These endorsements will assure this will happen. Fool around and find out. Everyone of them is Pro-business to the point they will sell you out and don’t care about a small town that provides no political clout.
