If you’d like to have a say in how Guilford County looks in the year 2045 – well, you’re in luck because Guilford County officials want to hear from you.

The county is hosting a series of community meetings this year to get input from area residents in order to help shape Guilford County’s Comprehensive Plan Update.

Guilford County is hosting two community meetings on Tuesday, July 30 to review the draft Comprehensive Plan Update with residents.

Area residents can go to GuilfordPlan.com to review and read a draft of the newest version of “Guiding Guilford, a Comprehensive Plan.”

The official goal of that plan is “to serve as a guide for Guilford County to help ensure development within the county takes place in a manner that aligns with the community’s vision for both the built and natural environments over the next 15 to 20 years.”

To that end, county leaders are seeking feedback on the draft plan through an online survey and various community meetings.

The Comprehensive Plan Update survey can be found at GuilfordPlan.com. The county is accepting survey responses through Monday, Aug. 5 of this year.

In addition to the survey, there are the input events on the horizon: Guilford County staff and consultants will be available at two separate meetings – one of which is online – to help explain and answer questions about the draft plan as well.

Here are those input sessions for the Comprehensive Plan update:
