The Guilford County commissioners have been holding a series of town halls to get information from residents as to what the county is doing right and doing wrong.  Now it’s time for the Greensboro City Council to do the same – so, if you have complaints about city taxes or the way the city is handling things – or if you just want to tell them what a great job they’re doing – well, now is your chance.

The City of Greensboro will kick off a series of Community Budget Sessions starting on Tuesday, April 22, offering residents a chance to learn about the city’s budgeting process and share feedback on spending priorities.

The sessions, which will be held in each of the city’s five council districts through late April and early May, will include an overview of how Greensboro’s annual budget is created before it goes to the City Council for adoption.

Attendees will also take part in an interactive activity designed to highlight the Council’s current budget priorities.

Although each session is hosted in a specific district, city officials encourage residents to attend any meeting that fits their schedule, regardless of where they live.

Here’s the 2025 Community Budget Session Schedule:

  • District 2: Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m., Peeler Recreation Center, 1300 Sykes Ave.
