As the trial of Laken Riley’s killer is about to begin, WGHP Fox8 today expressed fears that the killer might not get a fair trial in Athens, Georgia, where Laken was killed.
That seemed to be their main concern.
They did not report that this case came into the spotlight as an example of the crime wave being committed by illegal immigrants. WGHP failed to mention that the accused murderer is an illegal immigrant from South America who already had an arrest warrant issued for unrelated crimes.
You don’t need to know any of that, according to WGHP. You just need to worry about whether dear Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, will get a fair trial.
They’re not trying to inform you, they’re trying to manipulate you.

And the local newsreader (Cindy Farmer) made the additional commentary.
The Republicans want you to believe there is a crime wave led by illegal immigrants, yet they can only ever point to one or two stories over and over and over again to make their case. Why? Because there is no immigrant’s crime wave. Just a few cases they yell about over and over and over again. And when that doesn’t work, they make up lies about immigrants eating cats and dogs. If it was true, there would be far more cases to yell about with having the repeat the same ones over and over and over again.

The readers of this website aren’t stupid.
They can read the crime pages.
And they know that the media lie, but that they must tell the names of the criminals.
And their names ain’t Michael or Christopher. The criminals don’t have names like that.

Conservatives are never “OK” with murder of “thousands.” But to liberals, it must seem that way. That is because we are for real solutions that will work. Most proposals wouldn’t solve the problem, with 300 million guns in the US, do you propose confiscating the guns? Do you propose rewriting the 2nd amendment? Most deaths by far are by handguns and a good portion of those are actually suicide. The focus should be on mental health, intervention, better licensing. But the big bogey man has been “assault rifles”, which many people I know believe those are fully automatic machine guns, which they are not. They are called military grade weapons. No serious military in the world uses AR15’s. They are merely a .22 calibre rifle fabricated to LOOK like a machine gun. The assault weapon ban from 1994-2004 had mixed, inconclusive results. One person described it as a ban on “scary-looking’ guns. I do believe in disallowing any modification that would make that weapon more lethal: bump stocks, high capacity magazines. Wanting to ban AR15s, which hasn’t been shown to accomplish much, is mostly a political ploy by the left. As is claiming conservations are “OK” with murder. That is really a bad comment that undermines your credibility.

Here you go, dummy. Once again, a quick google search will satisfy your doubtfulness if you are willing to pull the blinders off. According to ICE statistics published in ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Report, in the Fiscal Year 2018 there were 2,028 total offenses for homicide committed by aliens in the U.S. In 2019 they reported 1,923 total offenses for homicide by aliens.
Don’t know about you, but 2000 seems a little bit larger than a handful to me. If you want case by case specific examples, you can go here and read accounts and watch sad videos. These are not all encompassing by any means, but merely the ones the site was able to locate and confirm with the resources available to them.

We haven’t even touched on the illegal sex trafficking trade which is largely run by and victimizes illegals and leads to an entire other set of crimes from rape, kidnapping, slavery, etc all the way down to petty drug crimes. Get your head out of your butt man.

Illegal aliens account for 21% of the population of federal prisons as of 2016 according to the GAO. It’s obvious they commit crimes at a proportionately high rate. The very fact that they enter the country illegally is a crime in itself and it’s a fact that if they were not here, so called prison overcrowding would be a moot point.
I’ll say this. Fox 8 used to be fair and balanced. Not anymore. Neil and Katy are as liberal as they come. One other girl is nothing but a race baiter reporter. Can’t trust anything local anymore.

We can disagree about covid and vaccines. If you were young and healthy, your risk of death was almost zero. But I am older, with some slight health issues. The vaccine was the best option and my doctor recommended it. Like most flu vaccines, who knows how effective it is and certainly Fauci oversold (lied) about its effectiveness. As for WGHP, are you claiming they were lining their pockets by running covid and vaccine stories? How so? Was the govt or pharma paying the station? No. they were doing their best to carry a story without being partisan, in my opinion. At the time, nobody really knew how covid would play out.
The pharmaceutical industry has bought and paid for most media outlets who are loathe to question anything they do. The myriad of ads for extremely expensive drugs always recite a litany of possible side effects, most more unpleasant than the disease the drug is purported to treat.
The one exception are the ads for the covid vaccine, primarily Pfizer’s. They never mention even one of the 1290 adverse events they found in their somewhat limited testing. It’s no surprise they pressed for keeping those results sealed for 75 years!

Did Laken get a fair trial? No, she was just executed by a criminal, without having done anything wrong. Give her murderer a fair trial this week, hear his appeals next week, and hang him before the end of the month!
We could only hope for that, but he will convicted, given life in prison and the taxpayer will keep him up for 50 years, 3 meals a day, medical and dental attention, exercise to keep him healthy, probably access to a degree, trade and will be released in 20 years because liberals will think he was excessively punished. Laken was trying to get her degree to better herself, one day get married, have a family but all of that is gone due to the Harris Biden policies on keeping Americans safe. Hey Chris, what if that happened to your family? How would you feel? Its not a Republican Democrat thing, It’s a Safety thing. Who will make us safer?
