Continue Tradition Of Excellent Governors
Dear Editor,
With the primary election behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the general election in November.
North Carolina has a proud history of electing excellent governors from both the Republican and Democratic ranks who have served us well like Jim Holshouser, Jim Hunt, Jim Martin and Roy Cooper. A current candidate, Josh Stein, gives North Carolinians the opportunity to continue this strong tradition.
Josh Stein has served two terms as our state’s attorney general and has gained national recognition as a relentless advocate for the people he represents. He is a true public servant who is guided by his faith to do what is right and to do so with integrity.
We need Josh Stein as our next governor.
Bob Kollar
Would not even consider a vote for Josh Stein to be our next Governor of North Carolina! He hasn’t done an effective job as Attorney General of North Carolina, so why would one think he would be an effective Governor of our state. Attorney General Stein has been notified of the corruption in the Greensboro Police Department and Police Chief John Thompson’s and Guilford County District Attorney Avery Crump’s failure to bring charges against them for robbery. Now once again our Greensboro Police Chief chooses not to follow the rule of law and arrest our Greensboro City Manager for his crime of domestic Violence and once again District Attorney Crump fails to bring charges against this man. These criminals do not have diplomatic immunity and John Thompson, Avery Crump, and current NC District Attorney Josh Stein have failed miserably to represent the best interests of the citizen’s of our City, County, and State?
Where has Josh Stein been? Out campaigning? Josh Stein needs to be an effective Attorney General before he is given any consideration to be a Governor of North Carolina!

“We need Josh Stein as our next governor”…. like a hole in the head.
The only Governor we need is Mark Robinson. He actually is guided by his faith as well as his morals. The very first thing Josh Stein did in his speech was belittle and condemned Mark Robinson! This right here proved just how low the morals are on the man. He couldn’t even give a speech about winning the Democratic side without condemning somebody else. Mark Robinson did not do that. Stein is so worried about losing that all he can do is put down somebody else. We don’t need anybody like that as governor.
Mark Robinson does everything possible to get along with everybody and to have peace. Josh Stein could care less about that. He also could care less about what the people really want. His track record proves that. Mark Robinson is a wonderful man who truly does care about people. He cares about the state of North carolina. Everybody needs to get out in November and make sure Mark is voted in as governor! We don’t need another loser in office like we’ve had for the past few years.
Mark uses his faith to already hate and division. Period.

If he had “integrity”, attacking Mark Robinson would not have been the very first thing he did in his speech! Yeah, that’s the kind of integrity that the state of North Carolina can absolutely do without! And using Roy Pooper as an example if certainly not helping your case. He sucked as our governor. Thank God we have Mark Robinson to step in and do for North Carolina what nobody has done in many years.
Bob Kollar is a liberal, just in case you didn’t know. He’d vote for a pig if it was a democrat . . .reference to the “yellow dog” for those not understanding the difference.
I would love to know why our city paid 3.07 million dollars at Randleman Plaza for a 94 foot easement to build a bus pad and shelter when the whole dang shopping center, 130 square feet, didn’t cost but 5 million????????
My problem with Josh Stein goes back to the 2020 elections. Form US AG Eric Holder formed a group whose strategy was to file lawsuits in targeted states challenging the state-passed voting bills. Rather than argue the cases in court, Stein settled the cases out of court. Being a Democrat, he agreed to override current NC law and extend voting times, mail in ballots, etc. All in the name of democracy and of course, during the pandemic, lots of bad ideas got put into practice. So he managed to override current law, passed by representatives of the voters, to accommodate Eric Holder’s wishes. He has been a partisan attorney general and a disappointment.
