Don’t Eat Dogs
Dear Editor,
As a “dog lover,” I would like to commend the government of Korea for passing a law that would ban the sale of dog meat for human consumption. Unfortunately, the law doesn’t take effect until 2027, but it is a step in the right direction.
Dogs have been hanging around humans since our ancestors lived in caves. Humans shouldn’t eat dogs. By the way, I would like the U.S. Congress and the president to pass a law banning the sale of dog meat for food in our country.

What is the weight of a 95 gallon yard waste container?
Chuck, Chuck, Chuck- How can you be so culturally insensitive to so many people ? Our native American brothers, for millennia have considered dogs to be a convenient and potable emergency food supply, not to mention our Vietnamese neighbors who consider thịt chó to be a delicacy. During the Boxer Rebellion our Marines picked up that the Chinese actually bred dogs for food thus they put their slang word for food, ” chow” into the common vernacular.
I personally don’t like dog as it’s kind of greasy and too stringy for my liking, but I won’t never let my personal prejudices to denihrate or criticize others cultual peccadillos. If you can’t be inclusive of cultural differences and accept diverse practices then you’re just an 8ntolerant racist ….
Dogs eat dog food. Isn’t it safe to eat anything that dogs eat?
Seriously Chuck?
To put a ban on it here in the US is something that can be debated, but to have the prejudicial testicles to try to dictate something to another country because you don’t like it shows a true ‘ugly American’ attitude. As someone who has traveled to several places in the world (the majority NOT the usual tourist stops) and I’ve seen and heard things that as An American I did not agree with. But I would always remind myself “I’m an American…a visitor/guest here, not a judge.” If I didn’t like it, I would not (respectfully) participate/comment on it to my hosts.
When in Rome Chuck, otherwise while there just keep your mouth shut.
Woof ! Woof!
