The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and other area law enforcement agencies are looking for Xavier Scott Williams, who sheriff’s officials say is “linked” to a recent major drug seizure in Greensboro – something this area has seen a lot of in the first part of 2025.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, during a narcotics investigation, a traffic stop led to the execution of a search warrant at 1600 Sir Galahad Road in Greensboro on Wednesday, April 9. That road is just north of Huffine Mill Road near where Huffine Mill joins with Phillips Avenue in Greensboro.
The following narcotics were seized from the home:
- 541 grams of Fentanyl
- 896 grams of Marijuana
- 4 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms)
As a result, a wanted bulletin put out by the department this weekend states, the 32-year-old Williams is currently wanted on the following outstanding warrants:
- Trafficking Opioids by Possession (greater than 400 grams)
- Trafficking Opioids by Manufacturing (greater than 400 grams)
- Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of Narcotics
- Felony Possession of Schedule I Drug
- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Schedule I Drug
- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Marijuana
If you spot him – or if you have any information regarding his whereabouts – authorities are asking that you call Guilford County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant C. Jones at 336-641-5986; alternatively, call Guilford County Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
There have been a whole lot of big drug busts in Guilford County this year.
When the Sheriff’s Office was asked why so many big busts had taken place in 2025, Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Bria Evans wrote: “It is completely understandable to have questions about what’s driving this ‘recent uptick in cocaine busts.’ While I can’t get into the specifics of ongoing investigations for safety and security reasons, I can share that the increased focus on drug interdiction is the result of several factors. I assure you that these ‘busts’ are the result of dedicated law enforcement efforts of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and Greensboro Police Department. It’s not that drug use or trafficking is suddenly increasing, but rather that we’ve been able to uncover and dismantle these criminal operations more effectively. The GCSO Vice/Narcotics Unit has always worked diligently to combat drugs in our county.”
Here are some of the other busts in 2025.
On Thursday, March 6, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office VICE/Narcotics Unit, in collaboration with the Greensboro Police Department, conducted a narcotics investigation that led to the arrest of 39-year-old Quentin Bowers. During that investigation, Bowers was found to be in possession of 12,184 grams of cocaine, two firearms and a large amount of cash.
On Friday, Feb. 28, at just after 3:30 p.m., Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant for a narcotics violation at 7986 Lester Road in Stokesdale. They arrested 35-year-old Chase Stephens, a Stokesdale resident, who was said to be in possession of 80 grams of crack cocaine and 18 grams of regular cocaine. He also allegedly had a great many other types of drugs from synthetic mushrooms to crystal meth to plain old weed – not to mention a “Military-grade smoke grenade” which earned him a charge of “Felony Possession of a Weapon of Mass Death and Destruction.”
Earlier in February, the Greensboro Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office made another big-time cocaine arrest of a middle-aged man speeding along I-40 who was allegedly in possession of about $1.25 million worth of cocaine. The accused was said to be driving over 100 miles per hour, smoking weed, with blocks of cocaine sitting clearly visible on the back seat. He was on a stretch of I-40 East in a Florida-registered SUV, which is presumably where he was heading. According to a complaint filed in federal court, a Guilford County Sheriff’s deputy pulled the man near the Mount Hope Church Road exit where the speed limit is 55 miles per hour.
I have a feeling that if I see ‘that guy’, then I am in the wrong place.
Hey Chris this is off this subject but just wanted you to know that Arizona just started purging 50k Non-Citizens from its voting rolls. Here’s hoping the other 49 states follow suit.
More foxnews misinformation being fed to the ‘think for yourself crowd’.
