Jerry Sybil Mann Kenion passed away Thursday April 4, 2019.    Jerry was born June 13, 1939 in Greensboro to the late Edward Walker Mann and Pauline McBane Mann.   She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Shaw Kenion, Sr.  and survived by her children, Thomas Shaw Kenion, Jr. of Greensboro and Paula Jane Kenion of Conway, SC, as well as her grandson Thomas Walker Kenion.

Rev. Richard Bailey Jarrett

The Reverend Richard Bailey Jarrett passed on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born May 17, 1933 to the late Pauline Julia (Bailey) Jarrett and Larry Jarrett in Beckley, West Virginia.  He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Marshall University and earned his Master’s Degree from Duke University Divinity School in 1958. He returned to WV to serve Durbin United Methodist Church and First UMC of Clarksburg. An ordained clergy in the Western NC of the UMC Conference, Reverend Jarrett served as Senior Pastor to the following UMCs:  Oak Hill (Asheville), Moore’s Chapel (Charlotte), Concord, Sharon (Lewisville), First UMC (Liberty), Mt. Olivet (Kannapolis), Pleasant Garden, Madison, and First UMC (North Wilkesboro).   As a student, he served Mineral Springs UMC and in retirement was an Associate Pastor at Grace UMC (Greensboro).

J.C. Mendenhall Jr.

J.C. Mendenhall Jr., 83, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 25, 2019.

J.C. was born in Siler City, NC on October 9, 1935 to the late J.C. Mendenhall Sr. and Irene Brewer Mendenhall.  After playing football, baseball, and other sports, he graduated from Siler City High School. He then faithfully served our country in the US Army. He retired from City Motors in Greensboro, NC after over 38 years of dedicated service, as the business manager. In addition, he and his wife Nancy Mendenhall enjoyed a photography business, in their spare time.

Vestal Gray Fulp, age 92, slipped the surly bonds of this earth to soar up to the carefree skies and dance among the silvered-line clouds high above these earthly bonds. Once again, he’ll weave amid the dappled sun-drenched sky. Now he is free to dance on the winds to be one with the splendor of the aviator’s dream:  peace and oneness with the sanctity of space. He made his final flight on March 23, 2019, at 9:50 AM. Today, he is ascending on his ultimate journey home, barrel rolling through the Gates of Heavento shake the hand of God.  A graveside service will be at 1 PM, Wednesday, March 27 at Crews Methodist Church, 4150 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC.
