If you’d like to have a say in how Guilford County looks in the year 2045 – well, you’re in luck because Guilford County officials want to hear from you.
The county is hosting a series of community meetings this year to get input from area residents in order to help shape Guilford County’s Comprehensive Plan Update.
Guilford County is hosting two community meetings on Tuesday, July 30 to review the draft Comprehensive Plan Update with residents.
Area residents can go to GuilfordPlan.com to review and read a draft of the newest version of “Guiding Guilford, a Comprehensive Plan.”
The official goal of that plan is “to serve as a guide for Guilford County to help ensure development within the county takes place in a manner that aligns with the community’s vision for both the built and natural environments over the next 15 to 20 years.”
To that end, county leaders are seeking feedback on the draft plan through an online survey and various community meetings.
The Comprehensive Plan Update survey can be found at GuilfordPlan.com. The county is accepting survey responses through Monday, Aug. 5 of this year.
In addition to the survey, there are the input events on the horizon: Guilford County staff and consultants will be available at two separate meetings – one of which is online – to help explain and answer questions about the draft plan as well.
Here are those input sessions for the Comprehensive Plan update:

Golly gosh! It’s nice to know that our “leaders” are so prescient that they can plan 21 years out.
Even the USSR only dared to implement Five Year Plans.
Which they consistently failed at.
We must have better socialists.
Is ‘better socialists” an oxymoron?
Our “leaders” want to entrench as many of their policies now, just in case they lose control of the Council.
Yes, just as Biden wants to circumscribe the Supreme Court with measures he’s expected to announce soon.
The arrogant old bastard isn’t just a lame duck, he’s a dead duck. He has no right to attempt constitutional change as a failed, frail, feeble has-been who’s on the way out.
Elect an entirely different Board of Commissioners for a good start.
Job 1: Vote every incumbent on the current Board to the curb.
Two words…term limits
Me Angry. Grrrrr. Everything make me so mad. Me Love Trump.

That genius remark IS NOT mine.

It’s some pathetic little wanker who’s become obsessed with me.
Perhaps I should be flattered.
We can start by stop wasting so much money on the fire departments, whether it be city or county. When these people report to the fire station for a 24 hour shift, why are they allowed to jump on the big pink firetruck and go eat breakfast and we have to pay for that? This is an abuse of Taxpayer dollars.
When they are on this 24 hour shift and they are doing absolutely nothing they should make a minimum wage and then when a call comes in raise their salary, because then they are actually working. They should get paid for what they do.
Can every city employee punch in at their job and then leave and go spend two hours of breakfast, why are they allowed to?
rust, please give it a rest.
