Trump Conviction Makes 2024 Look Like Orwell’s 1984
The conviction of President Trump was politically constructed and directed by the (National Socialist) Democrat Party who attempted to disguise it, using Bragg as their puppet. There were poor attempts to hide the administration’s involvement in the proceedings and when you look into ALL the things involved the level of manipulation points directly to the White House. So many higher level agencies declined to pursue the case and the Rube Goldberg manner in which this travesty of justice was cobbled together shows how despite the (NS)DP is to get President Trump out of the way.
The biggest thing that should concern American citizens of this is how the actual crime he was accused of was never made clear until AFTER litigation was done and the jury was being given their instructions. How do you defend yourself when you don’t know what you’re accused of until the jury is given their instructions? This precedent has opened all of us to the kind of kangaroo court that convicted him.
Another aspect of this that should concern everyone is the insinuation from some Republicans that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If they can do this, we can too, and if that starts happening what’s going to happen to our country? Professional politicians will be spending more time going after one another than doing what their job is supposed to be, that being representatives of the American people.
Also be aware of what the (National Socialist) Democrat Party is attempting to do in their efforts to manipulate the Supreme Court because of their lack of majority on the Court. They know a majority of Justices are Constitutional purists and rule according to that document instead of what their masters in the Congress dictate. They want to change that to THEIR advantage.
Over 40 years ago a group of us would sit in the mess hall with a cup of coffee and discuss how there is a possibility of a Second American Revolution, about how the book 1984 could become a reality. Maybe it should be retitled 2024.
Now more than ever hostile foreign powers are watching us and licking their lips as they have for the last 3 1/2 years.

As a humble child of Christ, I don’t care so much about trying to hide the money trail. I think he is a terrible person because he committed adultery. He has never apologized for his sins, if he will cheat and lie to his wife, who he vowed to her, God and family to love, honor and take care of in sickness and health, he will lie and cheat the American people.
I will never vote for a dirtbag like him again. I know President Biden is no better, but come on, are there good people left in politics anymore.
Bruce, we are not voting on a spotless, sinless savior. We already have one of those. When your house is on fire it’s not a good idea to ask that any of the firefighters who have ever cheated on a spouse go back to the station. They are there to do a job, and if they do it well you should be grateful. Trump did a very good job, and Biden (who is no paragon of virtue) has done a horrible job, unless you think the destruction of our country is a good thing. If you want to vote for a corrupt, dementia-riddled puppet, go ahead, but don’t blame your poor decision on a man who despite being sinful, did a VERY GOOD JOB as president.

Personal opinion only, when former Pres Trump was so positive he couldn’t have lost the election, it made me think he must have rigged it to win and in his mind someone else must have cheated as well to make him lose.
Guess that includes the “finding” of more ballots after the polls closed? Come on Chris. . . .if you believe the ballots were counted fairly, I’ve found out there’s premium beachfront property in Florida for $100 an acre.
I was amazed that at yh6e time of the 2020 election there were 136 million registered voters in the country and they managed to cast 81 million ballots for Joe Bidet and 76 million ballots for Trump….

Millions of dollars spent, multiple bankruptcies, massive legal settlements for defamation, many many retractions from news organizations and yet the modern conservatives have not proven a single instance of mass fraud. Or any fraud at any scale to have even a minor impact on national elections. Sometimes Wayne, the obvious answer is the right answer. NY law, as with NC, allows a criminal defendant to demand the prosecution set out details of acts of the defendant necessary to prove the particular elements of the charges presented.

This was available to the defense. It is pretty routine when lawyers need more info than that contained in the indictment to properly defend their clients, so I would assume it was utilized here.

Trump being prosecuted was directed by a DA (not a political party) that wanted to make a name for themself. Trump is and always was known to be guilty of this crime. Personally, I doubt it worth the taxpayer cost to prosecute given Trumps deep pockets to defend himself. But saying this is 1984 is Alan being his typical drama queen self. Cracks me up that Alan didn’t understand the actual crime Trump was accused of until Jury instructions, so he ASSUMES ‘they’ didn’t know either. The people of the State of New York, through the elected attorney general, succeeded in convicting Donald Trump in a criminal court of law for his behavior and actions which violate the law in the State of New York. The State of New York also demonstrated that he (Trump) was guilty of tax fraud and keeping two sets of books, one to claim he owed no taxes, one to claim assets he never had to get bank loans. The most recent trial is not his (Trumps) first, past AG’s have tried and failed to convince a jury “beyond a reasonable doubt” to convict him for past criminal acts. Trump is a poster child for what can be achieved via unscrupulous lawyers exploiting the loopholes and exceptions in the law for his benefit. Trump is a poster child for how the ultra wealthy are able to buy their freedom when they break the law. To those of you claiming Trumps rights were not honored in this trial, I remind you that if you had been convicted if 43 felonies, you would go directly to JAIL while you awaited final sentence by the Judge. YOU would not be free to campaign, play golf in another state, or enjoy the comfort of your own home and family. What’s that you say, how could the secret service protect him in jail? Easy, instead of following him around or sitting outside his door watching for threats, they would do that from a folding chair outside Trumps cell. If Trump never did anything wrong in the past and there are no “fall guys” rotting in jail who might want to do him (Trump) ill will, he has nothing to worry about. He’ll be safer there than he would be walking down the street as the only one in a prison with a gun is a guard right? It’s time that Trump actually pay for his crimes, both his fraudulent companies and his fraudulent self. If you still want to vote for him in prison, go for it. Over a 100,000 people voted for Eugene Debs back ihe 1920’s after he was imprisoned by the FBI. I’m sure Trumps Lawyers will get him easy terms, in a private cell and three hot meals a day in a minimum security prison with an up to date library where Trump can study for his next appeal.
I strongly agree with a great deal of your comment. But a quick fact check shows it is in no way special treatment for someone to be found guilty of a federal crime to have a few to several weeks before their sentencing free from custody. Actually, very normal. Some are even allowed to remain free during a first appeal at times depending on the sentence handed down during the sentencing hearing. Circumstances are very different if you are convicted of a capital crime. I think that is where you are getting confused.
If you do the crime, prepare to do the time.
Hitler was convicted too and it didn’t hurt him. In 1984 a Trump conviction would have hurt him. But it’s 2024, the 8th year of MAGA so it helps him and expands the party base. If he follows the lead, he’ll write a Mein Kampf next.

Chris, thanks for the clarification about being alowed to be free while awaiting sentencing. One question though- Trumps conviction was in a State court for violating State law. Perhaps NY law follows federal practices, I don’t know. Thanks again for the clarification.
If the democrats are so sure the elections are run honestly, they should embrace voter ID and eliminate mail in ballots and make sure the results are tabulated the same day as the election.
Elections rules should never be changed during an election year. Everyone should believe that the rules insure secure ballots and there is no room for cheating.
Even Republicans have turned to love mail in voting. It makes voting easier for those that are unable to make to their local polls on election day. They have also begun to support and promote early voting. Why? because it helps with turnout. Nothing more.
Mr. Marshall should be embarrassed and ashamed of himself for his lies and blindly following the Trump cult and MAGA prevarications. How can one not distinguish between conspiracy theories and base claims for which there is no evidence? To all those democrats with Trump Derangement Syndrome, let me offer some FACTS. You know, things that are actually true! If PRESIDENT TRUMP had violated a FEDERAL election law, why didn’t the federal government prosecute him? Why did other NY prosecutors, INCLUDING ALVIN BRAGG HIMSELF previously review the facts and did not prosecute PRESIDENT TRUMP. Answer, PRESIDENT TRUMP DID NOT VIOLATE and laws and even if he had, the Statue of Limitations had expired. How can Alvin Bragg, a local prosecutor who ran for office on a platform of prosecuting PRESIDENT TRUMP, charge PRESIDENT TRUMP with a federal election violation when he (Bragg) has no legal authority to charge PRESIDENT TRUMP with a federal crime. Let’s look at the judge who is presiding over the trial. You know, the guy who was ‘hamming it up for the cameras’, he was NOT randomly chosen for this case as is the requirement of judges and cases in New York. The judge has contributed to Joe Biden’s campaign as has his daughter who is a political activist that is making money off the trial where her daddy is the judge. Let’s look at the jury. In this jurisdiction, 9 of 10 voters are democrats who voted for Joe Biden. Not exactly an impartial jury. Then the prostitute-excuse me, a sex worker who has sex with strangers for money-details her recollection of an alleged encounter with PRESIDENT TRUMP. Her testimony must have caused the judge, Alvin Bragg and those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome to constantly wipe the drool from their mouths. UNFORTUNATELY, the testimony has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHARGES AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP. PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS NOT CHARGED with allegedly paying a prostitute-excuse me, sex worker-for sex. He was charged with a bookkeeping error that happened AFTER HE WAS ELECTED PRESIDENT. Then we have the federal election EXPERT, who testified before the US Congress (about federal election laws) but was NOT ALLOWED to fully testify about federal election laws during the trial of PRESIDENT TRUMP. Lets not forget the convicted liar Michael Cohen who told his attorney that HE (Cohen) paid the prostitute-excuse sex worker who has sex with strangers for money-to spare Mrs. Trump. So why would anyone would this time believe a convicted liar after he was jailed for lying? Why was PRESIDENT TRUMP forbidden from publicly defending himself while the convicted liar Michael Cohen was allowed to make money and have a podcast that sells merchandise all the while speaking publicly spewing his latest lie to everyone? There are so many errors in this case and verdict it should be quickly reversed unless other NY courts are as ‘misguided’ as the judge. (I wanted to say crooked judges but I don’t want to ruffle their feathers or blow smoke up under their robes.) When dems are in charge-and even when they are not in charge-all Republicans are DEPLORABLE MAGA EXTREMISTS. It is time to ELECT REPUBLICANS FOR EVERY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY AND CITY OFFICE.
