England Accepts Voter ID Law
Dear Editor,
As England prepares to conduct its first countrywide elections with a photo ID requirement on Thursday, the issue has been universally accepted as necessary to ensure the legitimacy of democracy.
After a 2016 report in which Sir Eric Pickles confirmed the risk of “significant abuse” without verifying identification, the measure has been implemented without any dissent or controversy. It’s obvious that any mail-in voting, or drop boxes are just an invitation for wholesale voter fraud – whether in the UK or the US.
In a referendum of constitutional amendments put to the voters of NC in 2018, the requirement for photo ID in order to vote was passed overwhelmingly, but the Democrat political machine is conducting “lawfare” to prevent its implementation.
This tells us unequivocally which side is perpetrating mass voter fraud and stealing elections. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure it out.
The Democrat Party is corrupt and debased and will do anything to achieve the power over us that it so desperately craves.
Austin Morris
Still beating the dead horse over mass voting fraud? You clearly lack any understanding of the existing safeguards used to protect against fraud in mail in ballots and early voting. Given that military personnel are one of the important users of mail in ballots, it always shocks me how modern conservative want to exclude them from voting in their local elections while serving their country.
One of us certainly lacks understanding. None are so blind as those who will not see…
If only we could as well
The NC Supreme Court is no longer controlled by the Democrats, and it has now voted to implement the result of the 2018 referendum in which “Voter ID” was overwhelmingly approved by the people of North Carolina.
The Democrat Party’s attempt to prevent this seem to have failed, finally.
Last Friday the NC Supreme Court threw out a previous ruling against gerrymandered voting maps and upheld a photo voter identification law! The 5-2 rulings mean that state lawmakers should have greater latitude in drawing General Assembly seat boundaries for the next decade, and that a photo ID mandate approved by the GOP-controlled legislature in late 2018 could be enforced in time for the 2024 elections.
Correct.
———-
Let’s hope this is the end of the Left’s attempt to thwart the results of the referendum, and the will of the people.
And they call themselves “Democrats”… More hypocrisy from modern Leftists.
Oh for Pete’s sake…
Who is Pete and why is he in this discussion
Couldn’t agree more – thanks for putting it out there.
You’re welcome!
Someone has to highlight the jaw dropping hypocrisy of the NC Democrat Party – and it won’t be WFMY, WGHP, or The News & Record.
There should be strict voter laws in all states for all elections from local representatives up to and including the President. The next thing we need to do is ensure only citizens have the right to vote, not residents. Our country, states, and local governments may soon be overrun with non-citizens voting citizens out of office, so then what will we do?
Dead right. Some jurisdictions are trying to give the vote to non-citizens. That’s just wrong; if they’re not citizens they have no right to vote in US elections, even for dog catcher ( and I’m a non-citizen ).
Texas just voted to give Abbot appointee the power to Single Handley CANCEL election results in the states largest Democratic County.
THAT is how you prepare unequivocally prepare to Steal an election! This is how you weaponize lies of election fraud such as yours to steal power from voters.
More hypocrisy from a modern Conservatives.
Chris/chris/whatever name you’re using today,
Please site your source…the source, not a cut and paste version, on this ‘statement’. Even if true, I cannot see how any government official can throw out an entire election result just because they don’t like the result, and don’t even try to invoke the Trump escapade.
This rates up there with all the beating of breasts claiming minorities are being denied their right to vote. I have yet to see fully detailed proof of what is, if proven, a clear violation of federal law.
And as far as the “More hypocrisy from a modern Conservatives”, I’ll just say kettles, pots, name calling and let you figure it out from there.
It was covered yesterday by most media outlets. This rates up there with the modern conservatives showing their true colors. It has never been about fair elections. Just another example of politician’s hunger for power versus actually caring about lives of the average American.

Not quite the full story, my half-truth telling brother. The rule only kicks in if there were issues, such as running out of ballot paper, in 2% or more of polling places in any individual county. After being “thrown out”, a new election is to be scheduled. So #1, if the polling places can get their act together and have what they need for election day, nothing happens. And #2, is you are denying the vote to a measurable percentage of eligible voters due to your own failures to provide voting materials, i.e. paper, should they not be given the opportunity to vote?

Thank you don
Thanks for providing the whole truth, Officer Don. Lying Chris habitually distorts and misrepresents the facts so he can score points. If he has to be selective and disingenuous to make a point, he’ll do so readily. He will also engage in outright lies. That’s why he’s “Lying Chris”.
That is rich from the anti-science misinformation propaganda guy.
But Don did bring of fair point that I addressed in follow up post because that is how real people engage in debate. You should try it some time.
Maybe you should engage in debate, instead of just calling me names.
And I’m not at all anti-science, but you are. For example, when i point out that the science dictates that every human possesses either two X chromosomes or an X and a Y, you just disappear from the debate.
Are you afraid of science, Lying Chris, or just plain anti-science?
Your M.O. is simply to run away after you’ve lost the debate, isn’t it?
Another trick of people who spread misinformation is purposeful ignorance. Austin offers another example here. He is confusing sex and gender as the same thing.
Here is what actual science has to say on the subject… ..https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6677266/
The science is that human beings have either two X chromosomes (female) or an X and a Y chromosome (male).
Fact.

But you keep living in your little fantasy world, liberal boy.
Austin illustrates another tactic of people who spread misinformation. In his post above, he ignores the response that offers a rationale response and even lists a source and just repeats his misinformation yet again without addressing either the source or the factual response.
You know. Because he can’t.
Nobody’s interested in your infantile little links, mate. You’re like a little child who exclaims “Well, my mom says… “, and then believes he’s won the debate!
Because of your chronic habitual misrepresentations here, you have no remaining credibility.
To us, you are an annoying little fly who won’t go away.
The way the law is written, it is very open ended and open to interpretation as it only requires ‘good cause to believe’…. Not actual evidence or any standard of proof. We all Know the standard for belief for republicans doesn’t require evidence….just desire for ‘it’ to be true. Just look at those that still believe there was mass fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Heck just look at the silly things Austin believes to be true regardless of actual evidence and scientific consensus.
Ha, ha, ha,ha….
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha….
You’re becoming more amusing the more you clutch at straws.
But it’s nice to know you think of me in every comment you make!
Loser.
Thank you Austin! Very, very well said!
Thanks, James!
